It was 2008. I lived in London and did a very sensible business job. When Bella entered the office and the game changed forever. A girl can do that with a guy.
Like most relationships in their early stages, there was a good dose of flaunting, trying to outdo each other with small gifts. Only Bella was annoyingly good at it.
These gifts varied from persuading the pizza man to write "Word Hottie" on the box when I was too sick to leave my apartment, a custom-made bright yellow umbrella - to stand out against a sea of black - to the perfect little care set to accompany a surprise weekend to Berlin; Bella has always nailed it. Which made us think ... and in 2012 the Men's Society was born and we put Bella's gifting skills into action full time.
Like many companies, ours was established and made at the kitchen table. Ambitions were dreamed around, ideas sketched and product made. The company has grown (together with our family) and we now work with some of the best retailers in the world, but we still make everything by hand, in Great Britain and we are very proud of that. Although we may have grown our original table, we still have the same dreams, drive, and attention to detail that we had at that kitchen table all those years ago.
